DSim Cloud CLI remote cloud compute configuration

When you start a remote workspace through the mdc workspace start command, a remote cloud compute is provisioned and attached to the local workspace, ready to accept commands.

Remote compute configuration

The s4 remote cloud compute configuration is as follows:

• Memory: 4GB RAM
• Number of CPU cores: 2

The s8 remote cloud compute configuration is as follows:

• Memory: 8GB RAM
• Number of CPU cores: 2

By default, the s4 compute is provisioned upon remote workspace start. To provision the s8 compute, enter the following:

mdc workspace start --size s8

Remote directory structure

• /remote: The root directory of the remote workspace: 
• /remote/work: 50GB volume for user files and execution artifacts 

If a remote workspace cannot be created for any reason, an error message will be printed to the screen informing the user that it was not created.
