Limitation: Copying entire local workspaces to another local location

Copying entire local workspaces to another local location

It is not advisable to copy an entire local workspace to another local directory location without removing the .mdc/ folder after the copy. If this occurs, a single remote workspace will be tied to each copied location.

Workaround

  1. Delete the .mdc/ folder in the newly copied directory.
  2. Execute the mdc initialize --local-only command in the new local root directory.
  3. Execute the mdc workspace start command in the same directory.
