Limitation: Windows Security Blocks DSim Cloud CLI

Problem

When running DSim Cloud CLI (mdc) from the terminal, you may run into an ApplicationFailedException in Windows Powershell.

Program 'mdc.exe' failed to run: Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software

Solution

If you run into this issue, you will need to add mdc.exe to the Windows Security Exclusion list.

mdc.exe can be found in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\metrics-ca\mdc.exe
